Time Caught By The Tail, 2014
3-split screen video projection
TRT: 15:00
Time Caught by the Tail, (2013) is a video projection, with 3-screen single channel. In this video, images of cargo train, modernist public housing maquette, and Google Earth images focused on residential neighbourhoods in Tehran meld with use of special effect. What these images share is the inherent use of arithmetic in both the patterns of Islamic art and that of the computer art. With this work, Erfanian questions the effect of the new technology in our everyday visual sensory.
